I would do anything for this little boy, Will...I would walk to the end of the Earth for him (and Claire) However, as his birthday quickly approached I was exhausted just thinking about doing a birthday party for him. It made my head spin honestly. But last week while reading bedtime stories I asked him what he wanted for his birthday just to get a feel if he really knew what a birthday was. His response without hesitation "Tandles, cars and a bunny rabbit!" How simple.... So I frantically came downstairs and sent out an emergency email/texts to my neighborhood friends inviting them and their kids to an afternoon filled with pizza, cupcakes and fun. After doing the trip to Walmart to get Lightening McQueen decor, filling gift bags, to making the cupcakes with Will, I never doubted again why I was adding extra work to the mix. Today said it all. He loved every bit of his special day. Birthday pancakes, skyping with daddy to open gifts, went to the doctor for check up, 5 friends coming over to celebrate, neighbor friends dropped by after school with more gifts and a dinner of his choice wiped him out cold on the couch at 7 pm. Day complete and in the end, we are all happy! Happy Birthday little man...we love you to pieces!
We have been busy as the weather warms up. We spent Easter weekend with my oldest brother taking him to Busch Gardens, the beach and Will having some testosterone in the house to wrestle and do boy stuff. Will loved it. Went to an Easter party that Saturday night with my Bunco ladies, spouses and kids where we ate delicious food and hunted eggs in the dark with flashlights. When I asked Will his favorite part of the party he said "Remember, the wagon ride home in the dark with the moon?" Again simplicity at its best.
Last week we hit record temps in the 90's so we took advantage of the crazy caterpillar sprinkler with friends, planting flowers, riding bikes and learning to play baseball! Good times.
We anxiously await Philip's middle sister's visit starting tomorrow. While the visits make the time go by faster, we all enjoy fresh faces, new conversations and most of all the love!!!
Claire? She is fab! She had her 2 month check up today and I'm proud to say she has gained 5 lbs and grown 4 inches since birth!!!! She is going to out grow her brother! Again, feel so blessed she is so healthy and good.
Starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Will is asking about daddy daily now which makes it interesting but it doesn't bother me as much anymore knowing how close we are. I can now close my eyes at night and visualize the homecoming. It gives me chills..... makes me think of my brave trip to church last week. Yes, this was my first time back after Claire was born. Never seemed to work out time wise with the unpredictable feeding schedule. Will sang his little heart out as usual, doesn't know the words to the songs but he carries his own tune and catches many eyes of the old ladies in front and back of us. The mass was about finding peace and being at peace...and yes, I finally feel peace in my life....this too gives me chills, good chills, I am where I need to be......

Bella follows Will around waiting for a morsel of food to snag!!
